.ISince the late 60s, Wereldwinkel, also known as worldshop, is committed to fair trade for farmers, craftsmen, and the environment. The stores sell everyday products from developing countries, some of which may be not very familiar to people in industrialized countries.
I was asked to create a new branding for the Maastricht store and came up with a simple versatile design that can be used not only as a logo, but also as a display element, highlighting what shopping there makes the stores unique.
The branding, a circle — the world globe — with the letter W*, serves as a window to new discoveries. Products can be displayed behind the logo giving you an exciting glimpse into something new, not only for the buyer but also in regards of new opportunities for the creator.
