.IThe Catedral de Girona is an impressive church dating back to the 11th century. I visited it on a sweltering spring day, the Roman interior was a very welcome break from the relentless Catalan sun. The church was being restored with dinky scaffolding and old plastic lining the fantastic Gothic nave. When I looked around I spotted two couples walking towards the rose window. I quickly snapped a picture. The next moment the magic had gone.
