The Æquālis logo is created by using two strips of duct tape forming the equal-sign (the Latin name, æqualis, means “uniform, identical, or equal”). In a campaign, the logo is used to make a statement about the restriction of liberty. Photos of people whose basic human rights were violated are defaced by the logo. A paragraph from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights accompanies the portraits.
