.IHadassah Emmerich is a Dutch painter and graphic artist whose work and being is rooted in Indonesia. Themes like Orientalism and colonialism often find their way into her pieces, both in tropical imaginary and philosophical references.

The first website I created in close collaboration with her was very much a reflection of those ideas. Pop-ups would appear, almost seamlessly blending into the background.

.IIHadassah hired me for a limited run catalog specifically for art curators and other professionals. The catalog is kept extremely minimalist to highlight her exuberant visual language.

.IIIThe second website, a redesign, was a completely toned-down version of the first one I created with her. It was also meant to stylistically connect with the curator catalog made a few years earlier.
